Vivek Kumar

Vivek, a BIT alumnus and a seasoned tax professional, has played a key role in Bihar’s smooth transition from VAT to the GST regime. He currently serves as a Joint Commissioner in GST Department of Govt of Bihar. After a successful stint in the corporate sector streamlining e-commerce, he shifted his focus to public service, holding administrative roles in Patna and Bhagalpur.

His expertise shone during his time at the GST cell, where he spearheaded Bihar’s adoption of faceless audits and contributed to landmark policy decisions affecting the real estate and works contracts sectors. Currently serving in the prestigious Patna West circle, Kumar is recognized for his early-career achievements. He remains committed to upholding transparency and building strong relationships with taxpayers.
